John Young, MD
Pediatrician
Dr. Young is a private practice pediatrician in Amarillo, Texas. Born and raised in Wichita Falls, he graduated from UT Southwestern Medical School in 1990, finishing 4th in his class of 204. He completed his residency at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas before coming to Amarillo in 1993.
Dr. Young has hospital privileges at both NWTH and BSA. He is one of the few pediatricians in the area who sets broken bones, performs circumcisions, and sutures lacerations — all in the comfort of his clinic.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Young is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a ham radio Extra-class licensee, and sings baritone in the Upword Quartet.
